When Kimberly Leonard came to me in the fall of 2018, she had made a decision to go into her 20-plus-year-old business full time in 2019. For two decades, she had a successful finance and accounting consulting business serving Silicon Valley startups and non-profit organizations. During that time, she had also taken on a variety of other roles. Her business allowed her freedom to raise her kids when they were young and gave her added income after she went back to work, but she wanted more.
Now, with grown children and the desire to have more choice and freedom in her career, Kimberly committed to going all-in on her business and dedicating her time to the clients she loves to serve. Her renewed dedication led her to want to take her business to the next level, to achieve her business goals and dreams. That's when Kimberly realized she needed to start by taking her brand to the next level.
Kimberly and I worked together for three months to reimagine, reinvent, and relaunch her brand. What originally started as Leonard Business Solutions 20-plus years ago had evolved over the course of time, yet still needed a complete rebrand to serve her new direction.
Starting with Kimberly's passion, purpose, and vision for her business, we created The Kleos Group. Kleos, an abbreviation of Kimberly Leonard, is also the Greek word for Glory (with a capital G!) attained through hard work and selfless deeds. This has so much meaning for Kimberly, we had to go with it. And so, we built her brand identity around it.
We worked with my extraordinary logo designer to develop The Kleos Group's new logo and tagline. Our goal was to convey growth and potential, creativity and innovation, and strength and power.
This logo is so unlike anything you'll see in the finance and accounting world and yet still so professional. We're thrilled with how it turned out - the rich and vibrant colors, the unique icon and font, the attention to detail, and the message that this group is unlike any finance and accounting consultancy. Suffice it to say, we're all in love with Kimberly's new logo.
We really wanted Kimberly's clients to know what makes The Kleos Group special and what makes it tick. We put special attention into developing The Kleos Group's brand story and promise, positioning and messaging, and mission, vision, and values.
Of course, one of the important things is making sure that people can get to know (like and trust) the people behind the brand. This is particularly important for the founder of an organization, and so we put care great into crafting Kimberly's bio.
